This year is going to be different!
You see for years Amy and I have traveled with FitBodies Inc. to teach fitness at beautiful resorts in the Caribbean.
We could only because Amy is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, which is the primary requirement to participating in this fabulous program: teach a few Group Fitness classes each day in exchange for a free stay at an All Inclusive resort in the Caribbean.
Everything changed when Suzelle Snowden, the owner of FitBodies, Inc send me an email that said they now have openings for Indoor Cycling Instructors!
Suzelle's email happened to come on September 23rd, which was our 21st anniversary, and I wasted no time booking a trip to Couples Tower Isle for the first week in November. I will be the Instructor that week and for the first time, Amy will get to choose when and where she works out 😉

UPDATE: 7/4/2013 - hundreds of Instructors have acted on our recommendation and enjoyed a low cost, romantic Caribbean vacation. Is it your turn to teach on a beach in Jamaica this winter?

John is a member on the AFS (Association of Fitness Studios) Advisory Council.
Holding certifications from; Schwinn, Heart Zones, Team ICG and Life Time Fitness, John's held regularly scheduled cycling classes between 1998 and 2015 when he moved to Florida.
When the weather permits, you'll find him riding and leading outdoor groups by himself or with his Tandem partner (wife) Amy.

I just joined FitBodies and will be attending Fit Beach at Half Moon Resort in Jamaica. Shhhhhh…..don’t tell Macgowan, but I’m gonna slip in his cycling class at Couples Tower and check him out. Pressure is on THE MAN! Maybe I’ll give a few shout outs and whoo-hoos to rattle his cage!!

I am Spinning certified only, so when I saw this podcast this morning, I was super excited! I was looking on the Fitness Pro Travel site this morning at the Jamaica and Cancun resorts, but I didn’t see anything about Indoor cycling classes. Has the website just not been updated yet?

I just activated you as a group fitness professional so that you can book a trip to teach spin at Couples Tower Isle. We also have bikes at Dreams Riviera Cancun which is available to cycle/spin instructors who are willing to lead a morning bootcamp style powerwalk each day as well as the spin class.

Amazing! It sounds too good to be true. As someone in the UK, could I still arrange a holiday/teaching with Fitbodies? If not, are there any UK or Europe based companys which are similar? I love to travel, I love to teach and to combine the two sounds fantastic. John, thanks for letting us know about this.

If you have the qualifications get registered and make some plans for a Jamaican Holiday.
Many times the challenge is coordinating schedules (work, school, etc..) with the available weeks at the resort. There are times where Amy and I have a trip booked 9+ months out to make everything work.
Be sure to report back after your trip.
