This weeks ride is from Karyn! - “You'll feel this profile deep in your soul as you challenge yourself to maintain heavy power output at different cadences and positions. Designed to complement your build phase, or take the place of leg day, this set of drills is focused on enhancing muscular strength and endurance. Form is key here to maximize specific muscle groups. As you start to fatigue, other muscle fibers will be recruited to pick up the slack. No one is getting off easy in today's ride. At the end of today's ride, participants will have held threshold for around 20 minutes with breaks. FTP testing with this knowledge means better confidence.“ Please enjoy.... Thanks, Joey
Joey is a competitive age group athlete in triathlon and continues to run 1-2 marathons a year in addition to his cycling pursuits. He can often be seen riding around the Pittsburgh streets and the area’s surrounding mountain trails enjoying the fresh outdoors completely unplugged from the training technology he uses to teach.
Joey is a certified personal trainer, group fitness specialist and the lead Master Trainer for Cycling Fusion. Joey currently teaches indoor cycling at several Pittsburgh clubs and loves to fuse his passion for the ride with his love of training, technology and of course the music.
I really love the weekly ride and was wondering if it’s been discontinued. Unless I’m missing something…there’s been none posted since May?
