We will find out if 1,000 Spinning Indoor Cycling Bikes will fit in the Target Center
That was the heading of the email I just received.

Life Time Fitness is holding a record breaking 2 Hour Spin class with 1000 bikes for the ride! The event will be held March 7th from 11am-1pm in the Target Center Downtown Minneapolis. CEO and Founder Bahram Akradi, along with 4 of Life Time”™s top spin instructors, will lead you through what is bound to be a tough but fun 2 hour ride! During the ride you will have the BEST tunes spun by DJ Roberto Costa with various guest appearances that will keep you entertained throughout the ride. In order to participate in this record breaking event, you will need to wear a Life Time Fitness jersey. If you do not own one already, you can order one online or you can purchase the 2010 jersey from me for $49.95. (there's always a catch; John) Look for additional details this week on MYLT.com. Your Group Fitness Department Heads as well as the General Managers of your home club will have sign up and jersey procurement information as well.
Please make sure that you reserve your space for this event AND spread the word!!!! (with 17,000 visitors a month I'm guessing I'm doing more than my share :)

Holding certifications from; Schwinn, Heart Zones, Team ICG and Life Time Fitness, John's held regularly scheduled cycling classes between 1998 and 2015 when he moved to Florida.
When the weather permits, you'll find him riding and leading outdoor groups by himself or with his Tandem partner (wife) Amy.

This is so cool! I wish they offered something like this closer to me on the West coast! Having a DJ would be especially cool.
And I agree…who are the “4 of Life Time’s top spin instructors?”Hopefully they’ll get back to you so that you can fill us all in. I also wonder, what you have to do to become one of Life Time’s top spin instructors? Sounds fun!
Interestingly, March 7th is the date of Spin Odyssey in Norwalk, CT. Jennifer knows it well. Josh Taylor returns for an hour. Looking forward to another great event on what may become National Spin Day.
Are they taking bikes form each of the clubs? Or else, where are they getting 1,000 bikes?
Yep, they are loading up every bike in the cities on trucks Saturday night, unloading on Sunday AM. This is actually a good strategy. There won’t be anywhere to Spin except at the Target Center. I’m also thinking that this event will be double the attendance of a typical Wolves BBall game 🙁
If they had a feed that would allow remote participation I would pull together a group at my club and we could ride with everyone.

I really want to be at this event, but I have little interest in spending $50 on a jersey in order to do so :-/
I agree with Amy, $50 for a jersey I won’t wear again? Sell a tech shirt for $30 that people will actually wear.

I take it they are serving the Kool aid at the door… WTF? Must where a LTF Jersey. If there is a Hell it is the Target Center on 3/7 with B.A.
