It doesn't get any better than when you find a song with just the motivational lyrics you are looking for. I like to use the song Work This Body by Walk The Moon and it always seems to get my classes working just a little harder. Here is another one that I've just started using by Sia called Move Your Body. Check out the original version and the remix. Both work great for a climb at around 64 rpm.

Have you heard? Spotify has come out with a new feature called Daily Mix. This is great if you're like me, and feel like you can't wait for your Discover Weekly playlist to update, because you get a new mix of tracks every single day based on your listening habits! It's a great way to hear more of the music you love and find new tracks that you might like too. If you find something you love, make sure you save it to your favorites. Here is a basic overview of the new feature as well as some of your frequently asked questions answered—> Spotify Daily Mix
Here's a great one I found while checking out my latest mix. It works well if you need a longer song with a strong beat and no lyrics:

Interested in something new and different to rock your next cycling class? Look no further. Beats Antique just came out with their new album Shadowbox on October 5, and you'll find some interesting tunes to add to your next playlist. They've been around for about ten years, but they're definitely not mainstream. There musical style covers many different genres, so you'll just need to listen for yourself. One of my favorites to use (and probably one of their most popular) has been Beauty Beats from their 2008 album Collide (90 bpm). You can take a listen here:

Here's a great new track that just dropped today from OneRepublic. Their fourth album, Oh My My is expected to be released on October 7th. This song from the album includes a collaboration with one of my favorites singer/songwriters, Peter Gabriel. It's definitely a different sound for OneRepublic, but in a very good way. At 60 rpm, it's going to be on the steeper end of a hill. Enjoy!

Happy New Music Friday! I've got plenty for you to pick from this week with some old and new remixes of a track that was first released in 2010. deadmau5 has just released new remixes of Strobe to coincide with their 100th release. Check out the Feed Me Remix. From :00 to 3:20 you've got a climb at around 65 rpm. At 3:20, it slows way down for a heavy climb in the saddle. At the 6:30 mark it picks back up for nearly 2 minutes before slowing down again so you can finish with a slow steady climb. Do you have a favorite Strobe Remix?
