We are continuing to fight through the problems we experienced last week. Rather than take the site down for repairs we have decided to leave it up and available.
Here's a recent article: Last week there was a serious flaw found in the code behind TimThumb, an image re-sizing library commonly used in premium themes.* Because the code is commonly embedded in themes it’s not easy to discretely update like it would be if the code were a plugin, and even when a theme is updated people are hesitant to update because they often customize theme code rather than making child themes, so if they were to overwrite their theme with a new version they’d lose their modifications. That, combined with the severity of the flaw, means that this is one of the more serious issues in the WordPress ecosystem in a while, even more than normal because it wasn’t in core.
Restoring everything meant we lost much of the custom coding we had in place and my developer is in the process of restoring it.

In this post about transferring Spotify music and PRO/Playlists to your iPod – Droid or other wireless enabled device, I explained that there is no other option to move music from Spotify, other than through a shared wireless connection. Your USB cord won't work with Spotify – except to move your existing music to a conventional iPod.
The flaw in all this is assuming that everyone has a shared wireless network to work from… but what if you don't?
Skip your computer completely and download PRO/Playlists directly to your device is actually very easy for ICI/PRO members with a Spotify Premium account 🙂
Here's what to do:
Open your Internet browser on your device
Go to www.indoorcycleinstructor.com and log-in to your PRO member account.
In the top navigation go to Instructor Training > Audio PROfiles and you will see the list of all the available PROfiles.
Open the Audio PROfiles of your choice and scroll down and click the link “Here's your Spotify PRO/Playlist”
It will open a page asking “Already have Spotify?” which you will tap.
Spotify will open the PRO/Playlist and you can stream it instantly.
I suggest you toggle the “Available Offline” slider to “YES” and wait until each track is downloaded before using it in your class.
Taking a break from my fight with Agent Smith (from the Matrix), I thought I would post my Free Music Friday track. It actually comes courtesy of ICI/PRO member Marc Schlosberg who shared it as part of a Spotify Playlist.
English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding's song Lights is a fantastic 70 RPM climb all on it's own. But Marc and I aren't the only one's who like it. There are (9) remixes of Lights available on Spotify 🙂

I did get the link to download onto my iPod…..and the damn thing downloaded all my songs on my computer, so I now have all my playlists on the iPod, which is now totally maxed. It seems like whenever I plug in, I automatically hook up to both itunes and Spotify, so there is no room for the nice new ICPRO playlists…
I see a number of questions here so let me start with what I found initially confusing about Spotify:
1) There is a distinct difference, as it relates to Spotify, between an iPod and an iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad. Spotify's service is only available on devices with wireless Internet access. Conventional iPods do not offer wireless so they will not work with Spotify. Here is a list of supported devices.
Where I got confused is if you click on the devices tab in Spotify it shows an option to connect your iPod.
I wish they didn't even show this option. This function will only replicate what iTunes does and will only transfer the existing music you have on your computer. It cannot transfer PRO/Playlists or other music from Spotify to your iPod.
2) The second part of this question goes to a setting in Spotify that decides what music is synced to your wireless device.
Connected your device to the same wireless network as your computer.
Open Spotify on your computer.
Open the Spotify App on your device – it took me two days to figure out I needed to do this 🙁
You should see your device listed like this:
Click on your devises listing and you will see the option to select Sync all music or Manually Sync. You want to select Manual (there isn't any Save button)
Now you can select which tracks or playlists you would like to copy to your device.

One last thing so I'm clear; Spotify music & PRO/Playlists will only transfer between your computer and device through a wireless connection. There is no other option to connect your device – the USB cord will not work – you must be connected to a wireless network.
