I can get lost for hours looking for new music for my cycling classes. There are so many great resources out there. I talked about a few of Spotify's latest music discovery tools in the latest ICI-Pro podcast. I also frequent other websites and blogs when I'm in need of some inspiration. Here is an amazing song I found while searching indoorcyclingmixes.com recently that I'm sure you're going to want to use in your next class. If you like longer tunes, this is a great one. It starts out slow and then starts to build at around the 2 minute mark. You'll start to catch the beat at around 3:45 and hold it steady until around 6:30. Here it slows back down for a climb to the finish. Check out the post here, and be sure to take a listen below. Let me know what you think!
Spotify's Your Daily Mix Playlists can be found on your iPhone App, under the Your Library tab.
Chris Hawthorne, AKA Chrispins, joins me to discuss a few new music discovery tools she's using in Spotify. As these Podcasts are only audio, I've included screenshots of where you'll find the Discovery Weekly, Daily Mix and Recommended Songs for a specific playlist.
NOTE: The song recommendations will only display for playlist that you've created – not for a playlist of someone else's you're subscribed.
Listen below and then stay tuned for Chrispins' latest 60 min Audio Profile publishing later this weekend.
You'll find Chrispins at her music blog, on Twitter @chrispins1 and on Spotify where you can add yourself to her awesome subscriber count!

If you're searching for a new song for sprints, look no further than this week's favorite track. Big Wild released it's single Invincible in September, and the remixes just dropped today. I especially like the Manilla Killa remix for sprints. Here's how we'll be riding to this one: :00-:50 seated climb; :50-1:20 sprint; 1:20-3:00 seated climb; 3:00-3:30 sprint; 3:30-3:49 recover.
One of my favorite songs to cycle to is Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. Well, it's been 10 years since the iconic song was released and now Gerard Way, frontman for My Chemical Romance has teamed up with Steve Aoki for a special 10th anniversary remix of the song. It was released today and it does not disappoint. Here are both songs and how I rode to them:
Martin Solveig's +1 features several pumping remixes at between around 62-65 RPM. Featuring Sam White, this one delivers a funky house groove and catchy vocals. It's always good to have a +1. This one will surely get your next cycling class off to a great start.
Here's the promised continuation of my interview with Peter G! If you haven't heard Pt #1 you can find it here.
Peter and I discuss more about creating his ReWeRKs – remixed tracks that are available from Legitmix – along with a bunch of other interesting stuff. You've got to appreciate his passion for Indoor Cycling!
We have a proven history of advancing the careers of smart & talented instructors here at ICI/PRO. Multiple Instructors have gone on to become Master Instructors after their exposure here at www.indoorcycleinstructor.com
I'm fascinated by Instructors who can effectively blend rhythm and movement classes with Power based display training. It's not just me. Premium health clubs like Life Time Fitness and nearly all of the hottest cycling studios are looking for Rockstar Instructors who can present a dynamic and exciting class, that includes elements of proper training.
It will only be a matter of time before the established Indoor Cycling brands will be looking for Master Instructors who can effectively present Rhythm + Movement + Power + Display Training Instructor certifications.
Is that a description of you… or do you know someone?
