Your class will love these two new releases for climbing.  The first is a seated, heavy climb and the second is more of a fun standing climb.  Try them both out and treat your riders to some great new music!

Dig Down is Muse's newest release.  Tune into the lyrics here.  I love what lead vocalist Matthew Bellamy had to say about them:

“When I was writing this song, I was looking to counteract the current negativity in the world and give inspiration, optimism and hope to people to fight for the causes they believe in; that as individuals we can choose to change the world if we want to.”

Your riders will definitely want to Dig Down deep to find the power to make it to the top of this steep seated climb at 67 rpm.

If you like to use house music in your classes, you'll dig Katy Perry's new single Swish Swish.  (62 rpm) *Lyrics are explicit on this one, so you may need to edit at :06, 2:32 and 3:08.

iTunes 11 for indoor cycling instructors

Not much of anything.

Really. There's no changes that I can see that would be of any value to you, as a Fitness Instructor. The preferences section is exactly the same – OK, not exactly; they've removed the option for gap-less playback, but kept the cross-fade.

Nothing else to see here. Move along…

Check out the new remixes of  Cake by Flo-Rida and 99 Percent if you're looking for a faster-than-the-original version of the feel-good track that will rock your next class.  The original version is fun, but pretty slow.  Luckily, these new remixes have been released recently and both of them come with a beat that won't quit.

Cycling Fusion Master Trainer Zack Hawthorne has published a new class profile:

New Week, New You!

We have been hitting you guys with some higher rate rides. Well this is what I would consider a
“fun” ride around town. We are getting a lot of base miles. Base miles are always important year
round, why not do them outside? There are two sharp spikes on the graph. These are meant to
be fun, hopefully the music makes you feel the same. This is supposed to be ridden as a day in
the life sound track. So settle in get ready to rip around for a quick ride. Remember to allow your
students to come up and stretch as needed.

Tech Tuesday – Spotify Now On Your iPad = Bigger Numbers

Spotify For iPad in your spin class
I don't own an iPad (my birthday is soon Amy – in case you need an idea) but if I did I would want to use it in my class now that Spotify has an official iPad App! The biggest reason I would prefer it, over my iPhone, is the font size. The “Time Remaining” is nearly unreadable by me. My class is frequently laughing at me as I sit there, arm extended at full length, trying to read the @#$%^& time remaining in a darkened studio. Yes I know it would be much easier to just bring my readers… I'm just not quite ready to admit my age related vision impairment 🙁

Here's the video that shows the new Spotify iPad App.
