Will You be at Club Industry this week?

Club Industry Indoor Cycling

I'll be at the Club Industry fitness show in Chicago Thursday and Friday meeting with our new sponsor/contributor LiveStrong Indoor Cycling by Matrix and record a formal introduction to all of you to learn more about them. While I'm there, I will be participating in some virtual rides lead by LiveStrong's  Master Instructor and Head of Education, Jim Karanas. Jim's rides will feature some stunning video produced by their partner Virtual Active. I got a sneak peak of these cycling videos while I was in San Francisco last month. The quality rivals anything you've seen in a theater… seriously, they're so good you'll think they were CG (computer generated) and I know your classes will love watching them.

Will you be there? If so I would love to meet you and possibly ride with you at the LiveStrong Indoor Cycling display at Booth # 901 .

Send me a note and let's connect.

2012 ICI/PRO Conference Location Survey

How about a conference in Denver next year?

Or maybe Atlanta?

Dallas can get hot but has an amazing amount of energy, or maybe Salt Lake City?

We're just not sure…

Two things we do know is that Boston has served us well for the past two years and the North East isn't an optimum location for many of you. Because we are always open to your ideas, we've put together a short survey for you to tell us where you would like to attend the 2012 ICI/PRO Conference.

Friday Night BIG Ride Setup in 60 Seconds

Mark Dalrymple was part of the contingent from Cycling Fusion who helped our event be the success that it was. Over the weekend I had the pleasure of getting to know Mark and learn that he was the actual brains behind the creation of the Class Builder App + a world class photographer. I plan to display many more of Mark's photos like the pictures featured in the slider and this post. When he showed me this time-lapse video showing the Friday night ride setup I couldn't wait to share it to you 🙂

The ICI/PRO Peloton

This ride was soooooo awesome!

Master Instructor Tom Scotto lead his ICI/PRO Peloton through a series of “Towns” with the support of his fantastic band. I was a bit skeptical about how the band would interact with Tom and the class…they couldn't have worked together more seamlessly 🙂

Here are some pictures from the ride last night with many more to come.

October will be a HUGE month for all of us

We chose this weekend for the ICI/PRO Conference so Instructors will be ready for the start of our new season – and here we are!

Beyond having our classes begin to fill (as if that's not enough) there's a bunch of other stuff I'm really excited about coming this month:

  • We're adding a new line of women's clothing to our ICI/PRO Instructor Discount program
  • Cycling Fusion is launching their new service October 10th
  • Leslie Mueller has her Alignment Exercises for Cyclists videos completed and available
  • Zoning Fitness will be reporting on the Beta testing of their new 6 week 2T/3Z Blink HR training program
  • We're adding additional resources over at Pedal-On.com
  • EpicPlanet.tv will be releasing Epic Red Wing – their latest Indoor Cycling DVD featuring the lovely Mrs. Macgowan and your's truly on our Tandem Bicycle

And one other thing…

We'll be announcing the addition of another Sponsor / Contributor with a very familiar name, later this week 🙂

They will join our other excellent partners: Cycling Fusion, Keiser, STAGES/FreeMotion, Zoning Fitness and Spynergy Consulting – demonstrating our commitment to growing a truly Non-Denominational Indoor Cycling community.
