New Week, New You!

We have been hitting you guys with some higher rate rides. Well this is what I would consider a
“fun” ride around town. We are getting a lot of base miles. Base miles are always important year
round, why not do them outside? There are two sharp spikes on the graph. These are meant to
be fun, hopefully the music makes you feel the same. This is supposed to be ridden as a day in
the life sound track. So settle in get ready to rip around for a quick ride. Remember to allow your
students to come up and stretch as needed.

PROFILE OVERVIEW
This profile is called Climbing Strength Intervals. It is a simple profile that focuses on four 3- minute climbing intervals designed to test and develop muscular strength. Riders can track their heart rate and/or power during the class to gauge their individual climbing efforts. The beauty of this class is that it takes a simple look at one concept of heart rate and power training and reduces the risk of overwhelming people. This profile can be introduced without any previous training on heart rate or power. It is a simple way to explore and learn.

As promised, here's Chrispins' latest class profile; Sprintervals! unnamed

Training Type: High Intensity Hills and Sprint Intervals
Total Class Length: 60 minutes
This profile is a high intensity mix of hills and sprints. It is comprised of 4-8 minute
intervals and one final 6 minute interval-the ‘big finish’. Within each of the first four
intervals you will be using both seated and standing climbs with sprints between them.
Each of the four intervals ends with a recovery. The hills become progressively steeper
as the intervals progress. My classes usually end with one ‘big finish’ song. I like to mix
it up, but it usually will consist of some type of seated sprint interval. The final song in
this profile is a 6 minute sequence consisting of three levels of intensity. It’s the perfect
finish to a challenging profile.
