As the "Senior Group Fitness Instructor" here I insisted that John set me up with an ICI/PRO membership. Now I'm using it to take advantage of the Pearl Izumi discount program.
It dawned on me that I could do a bunch of Christmas shopping for my Instructor friends and our two daughters online. Abby (our college student) has already sent me links to a number of items on Pearl's site. She has committed not to repeating the "freshman 15lbs" and is quite particular about what she wears to the college gym. All I need to do is order them and I have one I can cross my list 🙂

Amy Macgowan started teaching group fitness 23 years ago.She holds the original Johnny G Spinning Cert, as well as Schwinn, ICG, Cycling Fusion and ACE Group Fitness. Although she has her own bike, she prefers to ride tandem with John whenever possible. Long rides are her favorites. You can find Amy and John leading group rides and the Minnesota MS 150 ride each year the first weekend in June.

if you want to make an order and need to use a US address I can help. You’d just have to pay the customs & postage that I would have to pay to then forward it to you – even with that it would still be a great discount. email me if you want to do that. Or use the address of another friend in the US, there are ways around this.

Roberto, what size do you take for Pearl Izumi gear?
Is it American, where a Medium US is equivalent to a Large EU? Or is it the same sizing all over the world?

John, gosh, I don’t know. Do they have a sizing chart with inches (chest, waist etc) somewhere on the site? Being the average size of Americans is a bit larger, it’s possible that a medium in the US would be a large in Europe.
Thanks Jennifer I’ ll let you know if I decide to purchase something, and John about sizing I don’t know if in Europe are used metric or imperial sizing I”ll find out, can you purchase Pearl Izumi from your area?
Roberto, no it’s only in the US for now. This is due to customs issues, so it’s out of our control. (grrr)
Actually, I can have it shipped domestic to my company headquarter in New Jersey, which will forward it me by interoffice mail. So, I am lucky. But it would be cool to benefit from the discount worldwide.
