Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles.com sent me these pictures of refurbished Star Trac Spinner NXTs
I always enjoy talking to Jeff because he takes enormous pride in the quality in his Indoor Cycling maintenance business and the refurbished Spinner NXTs they build are a great example. He was explaining to me that these cycles are completely torn down and rebuilt from the inside out + are sandblasted and powder-coated in your choice of 5 colors. The end result is a bike that looks great and has a better warranty than new.

Jeff is brilliant. I could never figure out why indoor bike manufacturers just don’t get it. COLORS are a big part of outdoor cycling, why not indoors? My road bike is a beautiful pink (well, not the pink of that NXT, but rose colored). She’s beautiful! Great idea Jeff.
Wow great idea, does he do custom paint jobs to match a studios logo look?
Love it!!!! Apple figured out color, but no one seems to have figured out that black, white and gray are a bit dull.
Dane, tell that to Shamu or Moby Dick! 😉
Yes, in an indoor cycling studio, a bit ‘o color is really nice. Matching it to a logo is yet another brilliant application!
WOW!!!!!! THAT VIBRANT PINK COLOR TOTALLY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION!! Jeff is so creative!!! GREAT JOB, JEFF!!!!!!!
I love black, red & grey as a combo though, so it works for me :-0 Nice to have other options though. For those of you who haven’t met Jeff, you should, he’s “one of a kind” And I mean that in the very best sense. Way to go Jeff!
LOVE THEM….wish we could get them in our studio
Beautiful! We keep telling our students to be extraordinary, so why make them ride on cookie cutter type bikes! The only problem is, I forsee squabbling when people come in, look disappointed, and say ‘I wanted to ride the red one! It’s my favourite!’. Great work from Jeff. Can he come to the UK? Please?!?!?
