When the weather is nice, do you ride your bike to the club and then teach your Indoor Cycling class?
Just curious...

Always ! What ever is the weather, What ever the schedule, What ever is the time; On my fixie or my fitness bike pulling my son in his trailer.
Great photo! I still have that jersey somewhere! We were told to get rid of them (after the Schwinn “divorce”) but I never did. Wonder if I can find it somewhere tucked away in a box?!
Oh, and no, I’ve never ridden to teach my class. My commute is 30 minutes in my car at 5:30! Even when I lived down the street from the club, it was still too early (and/or too cold) for this weather-wimp.
Yup! Unless I’m running late.
It’s only two blocks away, so I walk…
I should……I could….I wanted to, but I have not *sigh*
Excuses: too rush, teach a yoga class right after so I have to carry 2 bags (yoga mat) on my back to ride.
Yes I cycle to class every day on our city’s “Dublin Bikes”. We are lucky enough to have an automated bike scheme installed across the city centre:
http://www.dublinbikes.ie/How-does-it-work
You pay 10 Euro for one year subscription, and every journey less that 30 minutes is free! (They charge a pro-rata rate after that to a maximum of 24 hours)… the only down side is drivers in Dublin can be a bit crazy!
Yup, I ride. All classes and just about all weather. Nearest gym is ~22mins (12kms) by car and ~27min by bike. Furthest is 18kms and s right through the city centre. 40mins by bike and longer by car due to traffic. Near misses are frequent and average one per 8-10kms. I get an extra 100kms a week of riding and a decent warm up for every class.
No…I have 2 classes at rush hour outside Philadelphia, no shoulder to the road and then at 6 am ….I try to ride off peak hours and weekends!
whenever the weather is nice. I like to try out the different bikes I put together and get a good warmup.
A few weeks ago I started riding to my 6am classes because I realized I was not really fully awake until about half way through class. I tried getting to the gym early to get a little sweat on pre-class but there are always at least 5 people waiting at the door when the gym opens at 5am and somehow that doesn’t work for me. How to get my endorphin dump before the 6am? Duh! Ride my bike to work. I’m actually wide awake and ready to go by the time I get to class. And if I keep the post-class chit chat to a minimum and hustle out the door I can sneak in a lap around the lake before I’m expected back at home. Shhh…don’t tell!
Yes ride my bike to work always if is not raining , that 30 min gives me a big boost of energy for the day,And sometimes I create my classes while I’m riding I listen my playlist and some real situations in real riding are used in my class I try to relate the out door with the indoor and the best way is on my bike is real thing, hey guys did you listened the music from the world soccer cup on CBC can some body find it who is the author? I love soccer also and this African style music is something
Yes, I just recently started riding my bike to teach class. I especially enjoy the morning air when riding to teach my 6:00 AM.
No I don’t, but my last few commute rides were just gorgeous: at 6am when it’s still cool just heading directly into sunrise at LT-30 … what a start into the day 🙂
