Another question about Spotify:
I was off to teach a class on Friday and always listen to my playlist on the drive over and all the songs were skipping. I tried rebooting my iPhone and still no luck. Luckily I had my iTunes playlist on my phone and did another profile for class. The problem is still there and the Spotify site is no help in solving this issue. Have you heard of this problem? I am ready to cancel my account …… Any ideas?
It sounds like these playlists haven't been set to Available Offline
Spotify works so well when connected to a wireless network you get the impression that all the music is right there on your device. Make the setting change shown here so your playlist is ready to play.
I recommend always turning your iPhone to Airplane Mode when you are teaching so your class isn't interrupted by a call.

I had the same problem on my first outing with Spotify and quickly learned that that I needed to use the offline feature and no problems since going to my offline playlist. I really like Spotify but I miss using Mixmeister. I don’t like having the pause between songs.
John,
Thanks, works like a charm.
🙂
Curious as to how many folks are using Spotify and the posted profiles…I am getting ready to take the plunge, and being fairly non-geeky, need it to be fairly straight forward, any input??? thanks.
Joanne it’s very easy. I suggest going through all the articles here https://www.indoorcycleinstructor.com/category/itunes-training/
Most important thing to remember! You don’t connect your iPhone to your computer with a wire when using Spotify. It only works through your wireless internet.
I will try that tomorrow. Another question, one of the facilities I work at does not have wireless, if I understand correctly, that should not matter, yes?
I get to class, pull up the list, it shows the artwork and will not play. aarrggh.
I will keep trying, I had not set the computer list on “off-line” just my droid. And all of this is like speaking another language.
You all look like you had a blast at the conference.
You’re correct Joanne,
As long as the playlist is set to off line it should play anywhere.
