Barbara’s session was so mesmerizing I thought she was serious when she said we had to wear them around for the rest of the conference 😉 What was really funny was the reaction I got from the other hotel guests. hmmmm ?
Funny! But she really IS that powerful. She can do what she sets her mind to! I absolutely LOVED her and her session 🙂
Thank you Barbara! YOU ROCK!
Barbara session was the A release of stress, she was so funny presenting her session; that was a great non working out memory. After the session I told it to instructors I met “go go go you have to do it”, as they own they indoor cycling facilities they enjoyed it and came back with ideas.
Althrough you are really right with the order presentation, give them what they want before what they need; I am affraid that it could make them work to hard at the beginning as they are “push” by what they know. So they miss a big part of the training process: the warm-up.
This morning for my 90minutes classes, I give them first what majority don’t like for IDC, 20minutes of easy pace with an really chilly and relaxing music but after they had theyr “party time, they had theyr work” but we stayed between 60-70rpm (pace of the music)and they keep it for 60minutes !
Pascal, thanks for your kind words. It was wonderful to finally meet the man behind your great posts! And you’re so right about students coming out of the gate too quickly..it’s easy to get caught up in the music and burn out too soon…maybe a slower tempo “song they know” would be a good choice…I’ll add it to my notes for next year’s conference!
