Unforgettable Rides:Â 3 Steps to Creating the Ultimate Instructor Class Profile that Riders Remember
Many of us already do things like plan for holidays or use events to theme our rides, such as the Tour de France or the Olympics.  But you don't have to wait for something on the calendar to impact your students. Today, we are going to take a basic profile and give it a makeover. In the end we will be left with something that makes our students say “WOW. That was incredible!” My goal is to provide you with a game plan to bring some bling to your old profiles. I am going to walk you through the steps I take to transform a basic profile into an experience your riders will want more of!

Hey John,
Is the contest open to previous winners? Just wondering…
Thanks,
Amy
Amy we had some internal discussions about this. My initial thought was to open this to everyone; past winners, Master Instructors, Sponsors and ICI/PRO contributors.
Once the people I was consulting with learned about the top prize, they were all for it.
But then one suggested that doing so may call into question the fairness of the judging, which could cause some to not enter.
My objective is to motivate talented Instructors (like you Amy) and give them a platform so show their stuff!
So I hope you can understand why we are excluding past winners:)
John,
I totally understand. No problem at all. I am so relieved that I found out before I spent the next three weeks of my life at the key board. (That’s the competitor in me talking!) Good luck to all instructors who submit during this contest. May your creative spirits prevail.
Amy
Just a tought … went you work on an “ultimate” profile, I think you work on a “closed” ride.
A “closed” ride for me is a great ride profile and cueing BUT it is like a monologue so you are so focus on your “plan” that you just forget that you have people in front of you that have multiple level of cycling and understanding where you go.
I have stopped preparing those type of classes, I never know who I will have in front of me except the regular junkie but those are not my hardest population to manage, as I says I do not do the ride and the training it is the people in front of me who do same as my cueing there are just my feed back to what I see …
So keep in mind that a well plan ride always have to be open … unless you want a ride like it is done in convention where it is mostly all monologue, that is our everyday life reality.
